Thanks to this incredible community, we reached our first $30,000 milestone and started recording.
Now that we're here, we know more about what these songs need: two additional studio days, another full day with our band, and additional engineering time.
Our next milestone is $50,000.
Reaching it will allow us to fully fund the making of the record, pay everyone involved fairly, document the process, and give these 11 songs the time and care they deserve.

Eight days in the studio, our producer and engineer, tape, equipment, and the additional time these songs need.

Four days with our incredible session musicians.
FINISHING THE MUSIC
Professional mixing and mastering of all 11 songs.
MAKING THE STUDIO POSSIBLE
Travel between San Diego and Los Angeles, meals, gas, compensation for our time in the studio, and the other practical costs that come with eight full days of recording.
DOCUMENTING IT
Photography, behind-the-scenes footage, and a music video so we can share the life of this record beyond the studio.
AND THEN WE RELEASE IT.
Once the record is finished, we'll move into the final phase: bringing it into the world.
That means artwork, publicity and promotion, music videos, vinyl and CDs, merchandise, and everything else it takes for independent music to actually reach its audience.
We'll share more about that phase - and its goal - once the record is made and we have the final release budget in place.
WHY WE'RE DOING IT THIS WAY
We're making the biggest record we've ever made.
And we're doing it independently.
No label. No management. No investors. No corporate backing.
Just two women in their 40s who still believe deeply in making meaningful music - and the community that has formed around it.
We know these are big numbers. That's why we want to be transparent about what it actually costs to make an independent record at this level.
You already got us into the studio.
